I will be interested in seeing the entire project and not just the trailer. Even this early in my anthropology major, it is obvious that one of the biggest problems today is that everyone is trying to fit into a global culture that is not truly global. In my opinion, to be a global culture you must embrace your very own cultural identity and understand that the rest of the world does the same thing. That's it. Nothing more. A culture does not need to adopt technologies, products, or standards from other cultures in order to be "global" and "advanced." A culture can be whatever it wants to be and should not be bullied into assimilation. Just like women need to love their bodies, people need to love their culture. You may call a culture primitive, unnatural, or even evil, but before you give it that label, stop and think. What do they think about you? Then take it a step further. Shed your bias and try to understand them. In fact, don't even say "them." We are all humans, a collective whole scattered across the globe. When you talk to people from a different culture, they should not be a "them," but an extension of yourself. Just as the individual has different personas depending on who they're with, humans have different cultures depending on where they are from. Stop treating people as if they are a remote "them" with strange ways and a strange language. They are you, you are they. We are all human. Having said that, being a global culture means recognizing other cultures while upholding your own in a respectful, loving, kind, and compassionate way. Let's be kind to each other, ya'll.
